When turned on the disc is fully lit, when turned off a deep dark arises, ideal in combination with a Gold Coloured Multinova. To top it off – next to a sandblasted or prismatic optic – one can opt for a smoked sheet at the front for a more decorative touch. Multinova comes in our standard black or white and can also be finished in the warmer Gold Coloured to enrich its surroundings. LET THERE D.LIGHT is the story of how d.light evolved from a class project at Stanford University to a multinational business that has brought solar energy to 100 million people around the world, most of whom previously relied on kerosene lamps, generators, and other unreliable and polluting sources of energy. Its small dimensions fit in any residential or hospitality project, as a track mounted luminaire it suits any retail environment and with a prismatic sheet for reduced glare it even adapts in office settings. With 2 different diameters, a down and down-up version and a limited height of only 69mm, Multinova is perfect to use in different ways. d.light’s first commercial solar product made its debut in the marketplace in 2008. But Multinova has some additional features to make it multi-applicable, hence Multi in the name. In 2006, Ned and Sam founded d.light, developing the initial prototype solar lantern and an ambitious plan to bring safe, bright, clean lighting and power to people around the globe.
